This is a flexible chamber choir for enthusiastic singers whose membership is drawn from throughout the University and the local community.
The Chamber Choir sings a wide range of music – sacred and secular. It provides the music at the Queen's Christmas Carol Service in the Great Hall in addition to concerts and Eventus entertainment. In 2009 its major project was a performance of one of the great masterpieces of the choral repertoire: J.S. Bach's St John Passion and this year the choir will be performing Pergolesi's Magnificat, Eric Whitacre's Lux Aurumque, John Tavener's The Lamb and others..
The Chamber choir has also performed the following works:
Magnificat, Bach; Come, come ye sons of art, Purcell; O praise the Lord, Handel; and motets by Purcell, Britten, Duruflé, Poulenc, Fauré.
