The Performance Workshop strand provides students with the opportunity to perform in ensembles working in and across traditional, popular, jazz, folk, improvisational, and experimental performance. This diverse combination of performance practices offers students the opportunity to find new ways of thinking about and performing music.
At the core of Performance Workshop is the weekly performance platform, where students are able to perform and discuss work in progress and receive feedback from their teachers and peers. Additionally, students enrolled on this strand regularly take part in a range of other activities including: practical workshops, lectures, individual and group lessons with professional performance tutors, and attendance at concerts, seminars, and masterclasses by visiting artists.
