Research lies at the heart of the activities in the School of Music and Sonic Arts. It informs teaching, guides concert programming and seminars, and provides a context for many strategic activities within the School. The postgraduate community is one of the largest in the UK or Ireland (+ 50 students in 10/11) with students working on a range of musicological, creative and technical projects.
